LPL 7451 power supply

Hello everyone, I have acquired an LPL 7451 as my first large format enlarger but it doesn’t have a power supply with it unfortunately. What is the best solution to this, I can’t seem to find any specifics about what I need and what model I should look for? If anyone has any pointers it would be much appreciated, thanks!

Thanks for your reply! How would I go about doing something like that? Could you link me to something similar please? My enlarger has two three pin plug outs and I’m not sure where to go from there. Thanks

I'd definitely contact SHD. Some power supplies may be available used or at auction, just make sure you get one with the correct input voltage and the right output and connector for your enlarger head. Good luck,

Thanks! I saw the KHB store had them, but for astronomical prices, I’ll try getting in the touch with the second hand darkroom !!

The ones listed at KHB are for North American electrical sources - not generally what you want. I sent the link, because KHB is also a good source for advice.
And the KHB items are generally new power supplies for current enlargers, so the price you see is what the original cost was.

Depending on your confidence and electrical skills you could look at picking up separate power supplies for lamp and fan and putting something together. Alternatively, you could swap out the fan for an AC model and run off the supplies too, but that could add interference to the lamp operation.

You may be hard pressed to find a suitable 24v 250w AC power supplies (for a reasonable price). A stop gap measure may be to swap out the current bulb for a lower power model and find a transformer to match. (new or from a donor enlarger).

Edit: you could convert to an LED setup. AC to DC transformers are cheap and are available a dime a dozen. Just ensure the LED output has the desired power and spectrum output.
