LPL 6700/7700 film carrier hold lever problem

This is my first time to buy lpl series
I'm not sure if this is the problem, but if you have this machine can you take a look at it?

I found the negative carrier hold lever is a little loose and can be shaken and pulled out a little. how about yours?

There is a small amount of play in my LPL 7700's Negative Carrier Holding Lever when the carrier is in place and locked. When the lever is in position to release the carrier, it has much less play.

Videography = not my thing. At any rate, hopefully the video is viewable below and also conveys the degree of play in that lever. There's a LOT when it's down and the carrier is locked in place, but it has none whatsoever when upright, holding the space open.

The light source I have at hand is actually the VCCE head, but the play in the lever is similar to what I see in the video.
In its down state - where the carrier is locked - the lever can be pushed in and pulled out a tiny bit - perhaps about 1 millimetre.

None of the looseness in any direction is a problem at all. Everything that needs to be held closed is held closed. Anything that needs to be held up is held up.
That's one tough little lever!

Don't hesitate to ask about anything else. There are a few of us on here who have the same enlarger - a couple of us are even on the same continent, living in the same time zone!

I noticed you are in Victoria, can I ask what brand of RA4 you use? I found that adox is often out of stock

I'm sorry to say, I've never done any colour film development or printing. I have kits on my ebay watchlist bookmarked, but they're so expensive that I've never bought any - it's particularly disheartening when you see everyone overseas talking about cheap $20 kits for a litre or ready access to even more economical bulk buys.
Right now, I can't even get any Sodium Sulphite or Hydroquinone to mix D76 and D72 for black and white work. Not available at Vanbar and the sulphite, particularly, I've been looking to buy in much larger quantities since it's about $22 for a kilo plus another $22 to have it sent an hour down the road to me.
I can get 25kg from South or Western Australia for $90 but haven't followed up on whether they'll even sell and send it to a private individual or how much shipping it will be. I've been procrastinating and flipping a coin endlessly on that one!
Just checked - waited too long to decide as they're now out of stock, too.
Someone who does have it wants $217.80.
