I recently picked up a beautiful Lord 4-D Rangefinder 35mm camera from eBay that was listed in 'EXE +' condition stating "Shutter works but is probably a little slow. Rangefinder is bright"

I am happy with the camera BUT...
The rangefinder is horribly out of vertical alignment.

Is there anyone familiar with the Lord 4-D who could tell me how to take the top cap off to adjust the rangefinder?

Appreciation in advance.

Do not know how to adjust it' range finder, but it sure looks like a cool compact camera.

Have you worked on cameras before? If not, do your camera a favor and do NOT touch it until you have some experience with repairing cameras. I suggest buying a Petri 7S on eBay (they're worthless), and practice disassembling and reassembling portions it until you're comfortable with tiny screws and parts. I have serviced many classic cameras, and when I see marred screwheads, scratches near screwheads, and internal damage, I say "an idiot has tampered with this one." Then I have to fix the damage, as well as whatever was wrong to start with. Don't learn on that beautiful Lord!
