I am seriously considering picking up one of these cameras, beyond technical knowledge I was looking to get some input from people whom have actually used one of these units practically. There are plenty of 6x12 options out there from 3D printed and the "new"/used market but I seem to be gravitated toward the Horsman over competitors. The most poignant being the seemingly modular and overall compact size, modular backs, OEM viewfinder that compliments multiple masks for desired focal lengths and lastly in terms of the pro version the shift capability. I would consider a Linhof Technorama 612 but the overall weight (less convenient as a backpacking companion) , lens selection and the need to purchase individual finders seems to veer me off from the system (seems to be cost is also quite high compared to the Horseman) . If anyone has used the Horseman and has any anecdotal pros/cons or point of reference from using other 6x12 cameras any input is greatly appreciated. Like most rangefinder helicoid focusing pano cameras, ive read the Horseman can suffer from vignetting without the use of a center filter with the wide focal lengths. Lastly it seems to be circumstantial but I have heard some people saying the Horseman can be fragile, was looking for some further elaboration if possible.

Hey Bish0v, have you purchased the camera at the end?
I'm in the same situation right now and tempted to buy one, even if the options in the actual market are scarce.
Thank you
