I am in the USA and looking for an f-stop timer, one possibility is the RHDesigns from the UK, the other is the Darkroom Automation unit that unfortunately seems to be unavailable new. I am open to suggestions of other timers that operate on the f-stop principal (but not open to electronic project suggestions!). I would be grateful for recommendations of other models to look for and for offers of either the Darkroom Automation model and RH Designs model.

f/stop timing is great but you can do it from a list with any timer!

We use this method in my classes however we can't afford the timer and do the math the old fashion way

Thank you for your comments. I am setting up a darkroom for the second time and have used the mental arithmetic method for all the work in my previous darkroom. Yes, I agree there are aids to make the computation less demanding of brain power, which has faded in the 20 years since I last printed  I shall probably begin by using the f-stop timing charts available at http://www.largeformatphotography.info/ (thank you Mr Lambrecht) while I save up the money for an RHD. It's a shame Darkroom Automation has exited the business.

There are several charts available which makes life easier. Check out Tim Rudman's book on black and white printing

I just copied the page and posted it at our viewing station for all to use

If you have a Gralab timer, you can print an f/stop timing clock face for it but the RHDesign stop clock is your best solution.

I am getting on fine with the LPL electronic timer, very precise and repeatable, I have your f-stop chart pinned up on the wall next to the enlarger
