Hello,
I am trying to find a good guide for bleach bypass in C41. I always read about the option of just bypass the bleach but i would like more control, like to go half way with the bleach perhaps?
I have read that adding a b&w development after the color developer could add a similar effect but couldn't find any example or guide too.
Anyone knows any guide for this?

Really appreciate

There are lots but

i) you need to use a separate bleach and fix
ii) if you acid stop after development then you can bleach and fix in subdued light and yes I know the effect is going to be difficult to see.

Otherwise it is time and temp

I'm hoping you try before me...

Here is a typical bleach bypass process:

1. Normal C41 development
2. Stop, 1' in 2% Acetic Acid (You can use 1% as well, with a tad more time)
3. Wash 6 - 10' at 100F (40C)
4. Fix for normal C41 fix time
5. Wash for normal C41 post fix wash time
6. Stabilize or Final Rinse normally

Expect less density in prints in the highlights (dark areas on negative) and more grain. Expect desaturated colors.

Thank you! yes, it is exactly that what i am looking for this particular session, desaturated colors, more grain and more contrast.
I always scan the negative in raw 7200 dpi and work it digitally, it is the technique i developed and i am satisfied with it.
I got a digibase C41 kit that comes with fix and bleach. The question is: if a reduce the time on the bleach, for example to half, will i have a hlaf bleach bypass?
