Want to Buy Looking for 4x5 shutters

Hi,

I am looking to do a project with building my own cameras and I am looking for some fairly inexpensive large format shutters. I dont need the elements and only need the shutter to work in T or B mode.

Let me know if you have any lying around and what you would want for them.

Gordon, if you don't have any luck here, look for Polaroid MP-3 or MP-4 shutters. They are usually quite cheap because they often lack an aperture (which was built into the lens) or a full range of speeds. There are a couple of different varieties but all of them should be fine if you are only planning on using them with a pinhole.

I have two or three #00 shutters from 120 folders and a beat-up CiroFlex that can do pinhole work. I'll poke through the boxes and come by one day and let you know what I find.

I've got an old Schneider Angulon 90mm in a Synchro-Compur shutter (#0 I think) that I dropped on the floor. The glass is cracked so the lens is unusable, but the shutter definitely works in B mode. I imagine that shipping from Sweden to the US might be on the pricier side however.

is this for pinhole work ?
you might head off to a junque store
and buy some folders
the shutters can easily be unscrewed
from the front standard, are small have b+t
and cost very little.

Look on ebay for a copal 0 shutter currently on offer. If you are doing pinhole work, you don't really need a shutter, just a dark flap and a timer. Any jiggle during raising and lowering flap is insignificant if you have a 10 minute exposure. Take a look at home-made pinhole cameras and you will see the flaps - common solution to problem.
