Hi to all the members of Analog Photographer Users Group.

Thought I'd just introduce my self. I'm an artist based West London. Just found this site after spending some time researching putting my own darkroom together. Michael Dyer's is a wonderful lab but for working things out I need my own space!

A few weeks ago I got a De Vere 504 on ebay for £160! Since then I've been trying to track down all the other bits and pieces I'll need to make up to 16x20 prints. Would really like to hear from people who have experiences with Jobo CPE/CPA/CPP processors for film (B&W, E6 and C41). Also Nova processors (Quad) for fibre base b&w.

I mostly shoot on my Nikon F6, but I also have a Mamiya RZ67, (sometimes) a Mamiya 7ii, a Yashica T4, Olympus Pen EE-3, Pentax ME Super, and a GB Kershaw 110. Recently people seem to keep giving me their old cameras!

Photographers I really dig:
Christopher Williams
Matthew Booth
Hiroshi Sugimoto
Becky Beasley
Robert Frank
William Eggleston
Stephen Shore
Diane Arbus
Nobuyoshi Araki
Terry Richardson

a lot really!

Recently I have spent a lot of time trying to work out philosophically what I'm trying to do. I've found Slavoj Zizek's books Looking Awry, The Paralax View and Interrogating the real really helpful. He says "Secretly I think that reality exists so that we can speculate about it." I think that sort of sums up how I feel about photography!

Would like to meet some like minded people.

You can check out some of my work at www.dkgriffiths.com

Welcome to the forum from the first state (former colony).

You swine - I was after that one... :D

B&W is easy enough to do in trays, as is colour with the Tetenal RA4 kit - You can do it at room temperature (24 degrees) in just three trays plus a wash.

Anyways, hello.

Hi Damien and welcome to Apug, from the far southwest of England.

I'm also a 504 user and have a Pen EE too !
