Jim Noel's thread merged into the main thread.

for those on the other side of the pond I believe you are able to order; just not on the website....email M+P directly to set it up
Best, Peter

No problem to order from Europe or anywhere else : just do it online, Michael will calculate the postage when they will ship the paper.

Another thread merged.

Well, I ordered too. Number 92 in the row.

This is wonderful news. Congratulations to Michael and Paula on getting to this point.

I wanted to make a point straight up on the subject of the price of Lodima.

Several things to take into consideration. Even though silver chloride papers have been around for over 100 years, this product was developed from scratch with considerable R&D time and costs. Secondly, if you have not been living in a cave for the last two + tears, you already know that among other commodities, paper stock has gone through the roof and some substrate products have ceased to exist causing considerable price increases. The loss in value of the dollar has also contributed to this problem although it is slowly coming back a bit.

That said, if one were to look at the previous list price for Centennial POP double weight paper on their web site, Lodima is nearly identical in price.

At the end of the day guys it is what it is. We have plenty of time to get our resources together for the big order later this year. Hope we can blow the doors off of this one because Lodima is a fabulous product that only through the sheer determination of Michael and Paula we have the opportunity to do our thing and assist. Find a way to do what you can to make it happen because you will not be disappointed.

Cheers!

Find a way to do what you can to make it happen because you will not be disappointed.

I've bought their hardcover books, subscribe to both their series (softcover), and have taken two workshops with them. I've also bought quite a few boxes of Azo from them. I thought it was all terribly expensive but worth it because you can't get quality like that anywhere else.

The fact that it hurts so much to pay >$150.00 for a box of paper indicates to me that it's probably even better paper than Azo. Obviously they've spared no expense and I'm sure they've spared no effort, knowing them as I do.

Price seems very reasonable...on par with ilford fibre 8x10...and this is better than the old AZO! Wow, can't wait to get hands on it....

Thanks for the reference to the cost of other photographic papers. We are in good hands with the kind of approach you, Jim S. and many others have.

Another thing I have considered doing to help the "cause". Each time I have the opportunity to share the marvels of a silver chloride paper such as Lodima with another photographer, I want to make sure that I take a few minutes to try to bring another person into the fold.

Because it is still a business it is only through sheer numbers that we will insure that Lodima is here to use for a very long time.

Cheers!

and what is the UK postage please Mr Crone?

Please, not so formal.....call me Trevor:smile:

I went for the 'full monty'.......Express international shipping (5 days) $47.50 + $5 insurance.

You can opt for priority international mail (6-10 days) $37.50 and skip the insurance.

I thought the extra $15 was worth the added security.

#131, I wouldn't wait too long or you're gonna miss out.
