Ray has retired, and I need a new local repair guy. My Canon 7 Rangefinder has a jammed shutter, and even the out of town guy I used to use has closed up shop. Anyone local to Denver and good?

Thanks!

Maybe Jerry at Jerry's Cameras (1445 S Broadway, Denver)? If he's still doing repairs, that is.
Don't know if he's any good, but might be worth talking to him.

I don't know if he is or not, but I have been warned away from him. I'll see if Englewood Camera does repairs

Englewood sends it out to a guy who has done a really good job on a couple of mine. Including something that Ray couldn't figure out.

I have taken mine to Mikes Camera with great results. They have a full repair shop in the Boulder store. If you are in the South part of town maybe one of their stores will send it up to the Boulder store for repair. They repair film, DLSR, and video cameras.

Good luck.

I didn't know that. Any more information on what types/brands of film cameras they will or won't work on?

They will repair anything they can get parts for. If they have the part in a box from old cameras they will fix yours. I had my F4 repaired there a few years ago and they still had new old stock parts for it. I recently took my Olympus XA in. When you press the shutter release it acts like its in time delay mode but its not. They said they couldn't fix it because they couldn't get or didn't have the electrical part needed for the repair.

Hope that helps,
D.
