I was wondering how many APUG members could meet in Chicago, may be we should discuss our needs and form a local chapter, that will have swap meets group orders, and other human-to-human instead of human-to-facebook/twitter interactions?

I might be interested. What weekend are you thinking about? I will point out that this coming weekend (January 22) is the Midwest Large Format Group portfolio review. See http://www.largeformatphotography.info/forum/showthread.php?t=67981

It would be nice to have a local group that meets periodically to review prints and comment. My experience is that it's harder to keep going then it seems. Especially without a strong leader.

I might be interested, depending on whether health problems interfere with my plans. It's at least a 2 hour drive, so breakfast won't work very well for me.

thank you all for the replies, I would think Clark's in Evanston would be a nice place to meet, as oppose of trying to find parking in Chicago,
10:00 am next Saturday (Jan 29 2011) I would think if you bring a list of the photo consumables to purchase, list of items for trade, and ideas you want to discuss
we will be able to come up with a calendar for the upcoming events.

Hi All,

I have to check with the Bride as to whether or not I'm available for Saturday morning. If it helps to get it going, I can meet pretty much anywhere, but Evanston is a PITA to get to from 355 and North avenue (this is not in any way a disparaging comment, I fully appreciate that the opposite is true as well). I do know that another fellow posted a while back hoping to meet in Lombard, but there were no takers as I recall.

Dear vedmak,

I have to take the grandson to hockey practice Saturday morning. Sunday should work for me though.

Sorry- wont get to Chicago till the 11th of Feb for a Sunday wedding I have to shoot on the 13th. Wish that I were a bit closer than I am, otherwise I wouldnt hesitate to meet up. As it is, its a piece of driving between Carbondale and Chicago. Hopefully it will work out better the next time something like this comes up.

All the best-

I'll be in Evanston Saturday staffing a co-op photography gallery of which I'm a member. Perspective Fine Art Photography Gallery is located at 1310 1/2 Chicago Ave. and we're open 12 PM - 6 PM on Saturday. Stop in and say hello.

Hi there,

Anyone get together? Possible future date?

Neal Wydra

yes, we had some fun time over at Clark's, 4 people including myself made it, I think we could do it once a month if there is interest. Possible future date second Sat of a month, February 19 of 2011 same place. I will post a new thread a week before that.
