Loading an RB with Fuji Acros

I have just loaded my first roll of 120 Fuji Acros Neopan 100 into an RB67 film back. Is there a "start" arrow on this film's backing? I did not see one, but there was a point where a printed black "frame" outline on the backing paper narrowed suddenly, and I aligned that point with the start arrow on the filmback insert. Was that right?

There is an arrow from what I remember. I think I would remember if there wasn't.

There is certainly an arrow and you should align it with that, otherwise you probably will miss at least 1 frame.

I remember there being an arrow and start label like usual. Haven't yet encountered a 120 film that didn't have it. Even Arista.EDU Ultra has it.

The first roll I loaded in my RB I missed the arrow too, different film.

They all seem to have the arrow in the same spot, the arrow is visible with one full wrap on the take up reel.

Do you have the film in right?

If the film is upside down, (an easy mistake) you will not see the arrow. Also, after you take your pictures and have the film developed, you will not see any pictures. I know it sounds dumb, but just trying to help. Remember, that dull black paper goes towards the lens. Check it out. Ric.

Acros Neopan 100 certainly does have an arrow, among other precusory markings about the progress of the film load e.g. START, so advance the film slowly or you'll completely lose sight of it. My Zero Image pinhole loads right to left, which provided some entertainment on my initial first use of 120, either too funny or too tragic to repeat here!!

From my experience with an RB67 and Acros, is that the start arrow is very close to the proper starting position once the lead is attached to the take up spool. Make sure you didn't vigorously cock the advance lever and shoot right past it.

Wow, this is a great forum. The scans DWThomas posted show that I did over-run the start arrow, so this roll is going to miss some frames. Many thanks for all the fast reponses. As you can tell, I do not shoot a great deal of 120 film, but I am planning to start some fairly intensive use of this RB for black and white work.
