Lithophane and Carbon process are two relief processes. What is the difference of two same pictures done by either ways. ? Is it possible to detailed hand work of Lithophane wax plate which been resulted like carbon print.
What I am thinking is to expose 6x17 cm size gelatin with film , get a relief and cast hot wax on to it to mold.
Than contact print with that wax block.
Does it work ?
This is a not well thought description and I am looking for a way to create a film negative , gelatin relief and wax mold to close to the hand carved wax craft.
What is the science behind them and any research in this way ?
What is the lithophane wax relief maximum depth and gelatin ?
