Lithium battery in Nikkormat EL?

Been using 6v 28L Lithium batteries in my ELW for years now. No problems at all.

The EL is not power hungry in my experience, but you should always have a spare battery, and Lithium has very long shelf life so Lithium are also preferable from this perspective.

OK, so I found out that the company I bought the battery from used a very slow and unreliable service that often loses packages to ship the battery.

So I was thinking that 4 SR44's (357) may sub for the battery in question, if they properly fit, and reliably make contact.

Has anyone else done this?

I haven’t personally, but read that someone did it. If I recall correctly, he ended up taping them together because they were difficult to line up.
