OK, as I get some PMs with concerns about groups being too big (5 and more) I will make the groupings with 3 or 4 members for each group. But for those who want to do more there is the possibility to be member in two or more groups. Just let me know.

I will do the groupings tomorrow afternoon my time (GMT+1).

OK, my brother in-law is visiting, so I took the chance to let my four year old nephew draw the names out of the hat:

Group 1
Lillian (sly)
Rachelle (mooseontheloose)
Randy (ghostcount)
Eugene (anikin)

Group 2
Odd Magne (OMU)
Ian (Stan160)
Travis (Travis Nunn)
Ruediger (rst)

Group 3
Lillian (sly)
Paul (paul_c5x4)
Jeff (trotkiller)

Group 4
Martin (MartinB)
Aris (akaa)
Andy (Oxleyroad)

I hope everybody is satisfied. If not, complaints go directly to my little nephew

Please, the members in a group send their addresses to each other.

My prints are already done, just need to be mounted and packed.

Cheers
Ruediger

Lith Print exchange #8

Group 3 is fine.

Having never participated in this before, I looked for rules and found none.

Are there requirements for print sizes?

I got the January part.

I was curious how this works as well.
Richard

Now that we have the groups for this round everyone sends their address to each other via PM. There are no rules on print sizes and also no rules about how you finish your print. You can just send your print, or send it mounted or matted or framed. It is up to you. I decided for this round to mount the prints, last round I just sent them unmounted. Again, it is up to you.

I you still want to participate in this round, there is a free spot in group 4, please let me know as this is kind of the last seat in this round.

And here is the updated groups:

Group 1
Lillian (sly)
Rachelle (mooseontheloose)
Randy (ghostcount)
Eugene (anikin)

Group 2
Odd Magne (OMU)
Ian (Stan160)
Travis (Travis Nunn)
Ruediger (rst)

Group 3
Lillian (sly)
Paul (paul_c5x4)
Jeff (trotkiller)
??? (megzdad81)

Group 4
Martin (MartinB)
Aris (akaa)
Andy (Oxleyroad)

Hallo;
Yesterday I received a beautiful matted lithprint from Rudiger. Nice delicate highlights, strong blacks and nice details in the "gray arias".
In case you have sent the same picture to the others, I wound describe more from the picture.
Thanks for a beautiful photography.

Thanks for the kind comments. I am glad you like it.

I was lucky to get four nearly identical prints. So yes, I sent the "same" image to all members of our group.

Guess who forgot about their prints flattening? Well they will go in the post next week, with all the Christmas mail out there they will definitely arrive in the new year.

My prints went onto the mail last week. I'm assuming it will take some time for them to arrive. If you're lucky - you'll get a Christmas bonus.

My prints have been ready to go for a while but I haven't been able to find the proper packing material I need to send them. Should be out within the week though.

Lillian, your beautiful prints arrived in the mail today! Definitely a great Christmas bonus! I like the hand-coloured print a lot -- is it only the leaves that were coloured? I'm assuming the range of colours in the background is from the lith, but I've been wrong before. However, I really love the stables print -- you've achieved such a beautiful range of tones that I can rarely get with the Foma. Thanks so much!

That was pretty quick, especially for this time of year!
I'm glad you like them, and yup, just the leaves were coloured.

I too have received a beautiful Christmas present from Lilian. I suspect this will be the best Christmas gift this year.

I love the photo of stables. Lith treatment works just beautifully on this old but opulent building. If the stables have such attention to detail, I can only imagine how inside of the manor looks like.

The hand-colored leaves look amazing. I love the contrast of lightness and fragility of the leaves with dark and foreboding background. It is a very interesting and unusual use of lith process.

Unfortunately, my first attempt to make the prints failed. The old paper I used for one print had too much
mottling and the other did not produce the results I wanted. Anyway, I will try again over the holidays. Hopefully, I will get something sent by January. Sorry about the delay!

Eugene.

Glad the prints got to some folks before Christmas. Thanks for your comments.

Jeff, your print arrived today (in great shape). It looks more Halloweeny, than Christmasy, but I like the range of tones for the image.

I finally got the prints done. I will ship them in the next couple of days once I find the suitable envelopes. I am so relieved! It was quite an adventure. I had no idea that getting three acceptable lith prints would be so difficult.
