Well, one print turned out not bad from yesterday's long session.

As previously with Kodalith Fineline and now Super RT, I get a warmer result with Ilford warmtone than I do with Forte warmtone. The Forte is quite black, actually. See the attached thumbs to show the difference in tone (and, yes, that's MY thumb at the bottom of the Forte example; I touched a rag that had some fixer on it; that must be why). Ilford is the first, Forte the second.

The Forte example was snatched too late as I was waiting for the lighter tones to come along as they did for the Ilford. I'll get back at it again today, maybe try exposing the Forte another stop.

Also, I have a couple more negatives that I want to lith, but after that, I think I'll find a paper that will give more distinctive results.

Cheers

Mike, I like the high-key result from your Forte test. I found that Forte Warmtone worked pretty well for me and was quite warm. This was VC, not FB paper and in Arista (freestyle.biz) A/B lith at about 1:1:8 and "aged" for a week. Example in my gallery.

I would recommend Kentmere's Kentona for lith, along with Fotospeed's Lith paper. Both produce excellent results, even with the cadmium removed.
