Add on the Bronica RF645 rangefinder. Basically the last new design from Bronica prior to Tamron ceasing production.

It is interesting to see how large that list has grown. I guess the sad part is only a few of those on the list are still available new. At least we have a good used market of good quality products from which to find nice gear.

Ciao!

Gordon

J Michael Sullivan,

Thanks for compiling this very useful list.

The Tele-Rolleiflex might be too old for your list, but the 4.0FW isn't.

How about the Mamiya Press cameras? Super 23, Universal etc. Too old?

The Rapid Omega ceased production in 1981 - so it should just squeak in.

Not sure if the Galvin 2x3 monorail fits in under the 25 year limit. Gowland made a 6x9 PocketView, I believe.

Don't forget the Corfields!

I would divide the Kiev line into Kiev 88/Salyut and Kiev 6c/60 - two very different camera lines. Also add the medium format Horizon 205.

Does anyone know when the Horseman 970/975/980/985 series was replaced?

If you are making a poll, you might want to include an option for "Older Medium Format Camera"

Actually you could add the Rolleiflec SLX, as it was actually the precursor of the current 6000 series.

I'm not sure how 120 base Panoramics fit into the scheme, but if they do, there are several breeds worth mention.

Yes, I've got one.

Others:

Hongmei 120 (plastic 6x6 TLR - I have one purchased new in Xian in 1989)

Fotox 6789
Jitto 67

Fotoman 6x24
Widepan WP617-A (see at Robert White's site)
KST Eyescan 624 (")

dont forget the Lubitel...

I sold mine for a pint of beer. I consider that a good sale - especially considering the price of beer in Norway.

I'd like to forget the Lubitel, too!

Ok, I've extended things to include medium format cameras of the past 25 years (this is for a questionaire). So here is the list as it currently stands. Corrections/additions/deletion suggestions welcomed.

I don't own a medium format camera

Does this look good?

Like it or not, it is incredibly popular. Maybe one of the top used medium format cameras around.

If I came upon a holga..I'd smash it in a million pieces with a hammer. "Holga" is a work similar to "digital" It should be banned from our vocabulary.

NOW, The RZ, RB, 645 Super/pro are models I like.

Are you trying to start a flame war??

A couple of other omissions...

Exakta 66

Mamiya Universal [it was still being made until 1989]

I would also split the Mamiya 645 series into manual and AF types. There was a lot of change as the manual 645 series developed, but the AF cameras are entirely different beasts and one could say that a new series began with their introduction.
