Hello,
the pneumatic damping of my Linhof tripod was not working very well, so i bought a rubber seal plate from Linhof. I wanted to change this piece, but i am unable to open the middle section of the tripod.
Did anyone try to repair a Linhof tripod.
Kind regards

contact Linhof in Munich;they will help you.

Any luck? I had a look at mine (twin shank) it looks like the bottom cap may be a force fit or glued on. It dosen't seem to move. A little heat from a hair dryer or hot air gun might break the bond. Remember to wear gloves or use a pot holder.

Did you ask linholf?

I asked Linhof and they told me the same. Thank you. I wasnt able to unscrew the cap, but the heat i applied solved the whole problem. Now there is damping also at the first few cm.
