I recently acquired a Linhof Technika 4x5 V. I would like to locate a cam for a 240 Symmar lens. I am not looking for a new, blank cam, but one that has been ground for a camera. I understand they are interchangeable on the V and later versions of the Technika.

Not to confuse matters but I have 3 90mm cams for a iv/v and all are unique

Chuck: Being new to the Linhof family, I am puzzled. The reading I have done shows the cams on the Technika 5 and later have interchangeable cams. Now I am seeing a different direction. Are the cams specific to a body or, are the cams specific to a lens? Are the cams specific to a body/lens combination? You state you have 3 90mm cams. Are these for 3 different lenses? How much difference is there in the cams? The depth of field in a 90 is fairly large. Are the cams close on far distances, but noticeable differences in closer?
Thanks for your insight.

The cams are interchangeable, but need to be customized for an individual lens. There was a fellow 3D printing cams with instructions on customizing. Maybe an internet search would turn up something.

Thanks for posting,I never knew there are 2 versions(flatbed/dropbed) 90mm/95mm
The 90mm cams i have have slight differences in radius of the cam, overall length and one has a bend to it.
I don’t see myself using the camera handheld and haven't really gone on depth in checking it out.
It's been on my to do list for a while

There is just one version. You can drop the bed of the camera by 15Âş for wide-angle lenses.

Thanks for the input and suggestions. I am now on hold looking for a cam.
