Since Calumet went bust and Fidelity Manufacturing went with it, the supply of brand new 4x5 Elite film holders has dwindled to a few retailers who purchased going-out-of-business chunks of the final production runs.
I realize that many here prefer to buy used equipment whenever possible. But for those who may wish to still buy new, KEH has a supply of 83 remaining of these holders in LN condition at this moment. They are asking only $17 each.
It was 103 remaining, but I purchased 20 to add to my existing 10 for my own lifetime supply. Those 20 just arrived a few minutes ago via FedEx and, after inspection by me, they are indeed brand new never used holders. No boxes are included, but the locking pins are brand new tight and there are no smudges or marks whatsoever. They are unmarked, tight and pristine.
So if anyone is looking for new 4x5 holders at what is not far from the price of decent used ones, this might be your chance. I have not seen these holders offered at or near this price from any other remaining source.
Just thought someone out there might want to know...
