Hi!

I just set up my own darkroom, but I'm having some problems with the enlarger and I'm not sure if it's the fault of the condensers, lens or something else.

Does anyone know what might cause this problem? (On the picture). It's where the light is projected on the board and there is a circular light in the middle, and one a little bit above as well, but not so strong.

The enlarger is a Durst M601 and has two condensers, and a Schneider-Kreuznach lens.

Do you have the manual ?? I have the M601 with color-head and with bw-head, but have never seen something like on your photo.

Check the condensors for right position, then check the opal-bulb.

I had a M600 in the past, it uses opal glass insert as well as condensers, more like a semi condenser, do you have the opal glass?

The M601 doesn't use an opal glass there's a pair of identical condensers for 6x6 and a separate top condenser for 35mm which you fit instead of the top 6x6 condenser, you must have the correct enlarger lamp as well.

In addition to what others have said you can slide the lamp up and down to center the image on the baseboard, (read the manual). This is one enlarger I would not try to use an LED lamp in since it utilizes the side of the lamp, not the top.

It seems that the bulb is not entered correctly. Try to adjust or change it.
