When cleaning out an old building I found some of my old packs of fixer and dektol and wondered if they were still good. They are still in the Kodak foil packs unopened. I also have two bottles of Kodak stop bath that still seems Ok, don't know if acid goes bad.

If it is sealed in the foil packs it is probably fine, especially the fixer. Mix it up and try a little strip of film or paper and make sure it develops out or clears before using. If you make sure to test it first, the worst is that it doesn't work.

most likely fine unless the Dektol has oxidized and converted to a dark brown in color in which case it is lost.Try it on anything but your most important imagesand eal the packagesif you intend to keep them . otherwise use them soon.

I'm sure it's fine if it's still sealed. Dektol, D-76, and Microdol-X are just a few of the old, old yellow packages I've used recently, and they were all as good as the day they were made. I love Kodak. Great products.
