Anyone interested in a day in Plymouth, Ma for a workshop on large format portraiture. Bill H said he'd love to host this as he has a great space within his home for this as well as a fabulous darkroom.

We hope to have a date selected today sometime...but it will probably be an upcoming Saturday.

Ok, one week to go! We have a potential of 5-6 people...so think about it. Steve...you in? Don't feel like you have to stay the whole day...heck, I have to leave at 1pm for my granddaughter's birthday. Get in touch with Bill or me and we'll make sure we have enough pastries and coffee (tea) on hand.

Initially, Bill will show us around his studio and darkroom, then, over coffee, go over his routine of setting up (seamless background selection, lighting, camera system on rolling stand, etc). Then you can set up your own equipment and shoot...the rest of us! Next, We'll probably go out to downtown Plymouth for a lunch break...and then...

Hi,

This sounds great! Is it too late to 'sign up?' I'm 'new' to LF and would really like to try out my 4x5 with a soft focus lens with a Packard shutter.

Thanks,
Ray.

No it's not too late...I'll send everyone an email with particulars...

Gah! I just saw this! And if course I have plans this weekend, it would have been really nice to finally meet some people here in real life, and of course learn some actual LF techniques instead of just fumbling around with my 4x5... Timing is everything...

I was wondering if anyone, who is coming tomorrow and has possession of a wrench to wrestle off a lens from a board...could bring it?

Finally got the point that I am unreliable, huh Drew? And just after I put it in my car so I wouldn't forget it!

Bill, thanks for hosting. I'm looking forward to the next get-together, whenever and wherever it may be. And thanks to Drew for pulling it together.
