So, if it's not actually a camera, what exactly is it? Description lists it as a "Vintage Wooden Large Format Camera w/ Stand" , you tell us what you think it is.

We could ask the skilled Indian craftsmen to up their game and make fully working cameras, labour costs in India are far less now than China so they could easily undercut the Chinese manufacturers.

In a sense, it is a camera... It was used for drawing silhouettes (a favored thing in victorian times).
