Hey, I got that yellow packet today. I will make my picture and send it to the next person on the list tomorrow, that should be ... where is the list ... Ole in Norway.

ciao

:D :D

Hope I manage to send it on before the LF gathering - it would be too embarrassing!

Cool, Ole, it hadn't registered that you were the one sending it to me, I look forward to getting it !

PJ

And off we go, the camera is on its way to Norway.

ciao

... and the camera has arrived. If the weather improves tomorrow I'll take it on a walk up the nearest mountain before I send it on. If not, it will be a "village scene" with ten meters visibilty.

I really have to think fast about what i'm gonna shoot, I'm next !

PJ

Ok, received the camera today, I'll try to shoot and send it off on it's way by the end of this week, but it might also bee on the other side of the week-end...

I'll keep you informed...

Getting Closer ...

I'm really looking forward to the camera arriving in Australia. Only another couple of months I think!

Keep pushing it along people

Graham, it could be sooner than that ... 2 of the British contingent have dropped out, so here's the updated list:

janvanhove ------- Brussels, Belgium <current location>
mikeg ------------ Shropshire, UK
Bob F. ----------- West London, UK
gbroadbridge ----- Sydney, Australia

You are going to make 8x10 dry-mounted prints of each of these masterpieces aren't you? (just kidding)

You may end up with something like 7 shots at the end of the roll I think.

Hi Nathan

What should be done about the spare frames (shots)?

Given the fact that this camera will have made and survived a long trip I'm of the opinion that it should be processed as soon as possible after arrival in Australia.

The alternative is to send it on the road to a couple of APUG members in Australia, and then back here for processing.

Thoughts???

Graham.

hmmm ... tough one. I'm inclined to agree with you, I'd hate to tempt fate any further ... although it would be fun to have as many folks on the list as possible. Maybe we should just plan on doing another in the future! Anyone else want to weigh in on this?

Nathan

I think if we can find more participants in Australia, we should move it on to them. Otherwise, I do not think we should risk another international border crossing.

I'll see if I can dig up some Sydney members to send the camera to.

Once it's here I can reload it with some HP5+ (I have hundreds of feet of that stock  and send it on it's way again.

BTW, what should I do once it's processed. Neg scan??

Graham.

That sounds great. Yes, a neg scan and then I guess we can post them to the site. I'll PM Sean to see how he wants to handle that. We might as well figure out a good way to handle it as we'll be doing it again soon for the 'Round1' camera, as well as others in the future.
Thanks Graham,
Nathan

Just to let you know my frame is shot today, and I'll send it on its way tomorrow or the day after... Should I update the paper list too make sure it doesn't end up at te right place and goes from Mike to bob ?

Cheers.

Another Sydneysider checking in

Hi all, I'm on the waiting list for the first camera, but Graham PM'ed me about camera 2. I may be able to help but I will be travelling O/S a couple of times in the next month so Graham and I will figure out if I can participate, depnding on when he receives the camera.

I think I'm next on the list? If so, it hasn't arrived yet

Cheers

Mike

I believe so. I've just PM'd Patrick (janvanhove) to see if and when it was mailed. With all of the added security world-wide, it wouldn't surprise me if it takes a long while between borders.

Nathan

PS - Glenn, glad to have you on board. I wasn't sure whether Graham was thinking of reloading the film before sending it on to you or not ... doesn't much matter I guess.

Patrick, Mike - does anyone know where the camera is now? I can quite believe that UK security is taking a close look at packages entering the country right now. Hope it shows up soon.

Hi Nathan,

No it hasn't arrived here yet  Have you heard from Patrick? UK Customs shouldn't hold it up too long if at all as Belgium is in the EU. We don't have to provide a customs green CN22 form when posting small packages within the EU. So, it may be down to the vagaries of the postal system. For example, a few months ago I posted some film to Ole and Morten. Ole's took 4 days, whereas Morten's took nearly 3 weeks!

Cheers

Mike

Nope, haven't heard anything from him since his posting on 8/30. Hasn't replied to a PM either. Hope all's well with him. Guess we'll just have to wait it out.
Thanks,
Nathan

Patrick just cancelled his appearance at the Norwegian (U)LF gathering, so there may be something there. I'll see what I can find out (tactfully).

Sorry about the delay, I'm not guilty, and not the British customs... I've been sick for nearly two weeks, and didn't get around to posting the camera... Really sorry about that, it should be off before the end of the week...

re-sorry...
