Lens stuck to Ricoh xr2s, is there a way to get it off or do I have to send it out for repairs?

So...
I have a lens stuck on my Ricoh xr2s (ie, I can't get it to release from the mount, even though it was working this morning). is there a way I can get it unstuck or am I forced to send it out for repairs?

apologies if I'm not clear about anything.

Guessing the body lens release button isn't retracting the locking pin as far a it should. May have to press a bit harder?
Since the button is adjacent to the lower area of the lensmount, removing the bottom plate and peering inside may gain necessary access to pull the pin?

yep, that's what's happening. I've tried pressing harder and still nothing.
