Hello,

I really hope I'm in the right place with this question.

I got a lens which came in a Rollei Electronic Shutter No. 0. Now I would like to remove the lens from the shutter. I managed to get the rear element out, but the front element won't budge. It's quite hard to get a tight grip on the front element, because the lens is so small and sits in a slightly recessed manner inside of the shutter (see image below). I'm completely unfamiliar with those electronic shutters, so I don't want to damage the lens accidentally. That's why I hope that someone in here might know more about that. Should I be able to screw the element out, if I manage to apply a bit more force or is it possible that there is some mechanism holding the lens in place, which might make that impossible? Thanks a lot for helping a technical newbie out here!

Aluminium against aluminium can "stuck" together some times. Maybe try to remove by using a plumber tool, in rubber, to hold / unscrew pipes. Or with a vice tool (gentle!) with two little pieces of wood of eacj side the front element.

Perhaps this will help: https://rolleiflex.us/products/rollei-electronic-shutter-size-0

Presuming this is the same shutter, both lens cells appear to screw into the shutter body: https://rolleiflex.us/products/datasheet-for-the-hs-1000-electronic-shutter-with-usb-new-2012 is unfortunately a dead link.

https://www.pacificrimcamera.com/rl/02538/02538.pdf is a nice overview of lens/shutter combos.

Sorry for the late reply and thank you very much for the advice and data sheets. According to the images it should be possible to unscrew the element, however multiple additional attempts have failed so far and I almost damaged the lens in the process. The plumber tool I've found won't fit (the lens has a diameter that's too wide) and it only sticks out of the shutter for a couple of millimeters, so slipping would almost certainly mean severe damage to the lens... I hate the bulky design of this thing compared to a traditional shutter - it's really frustrating.
