lens overhaul ?

Hi analog photographers,

My question refers to lenses. It is not strictly related to ANALOG but please bear with me.

I'm purchasing an adapter for my video camera which allows me to use 35mm lenses. The adapters I currently have my eye on come with Nikon F mounts. I currently have a set of Minolta lenses and I would need to purchase a US$100 Minolta mount to be able to use them on my new adapter.

The F Bayonet Mount seems to speak to a lot of quality lenses out there - including Nikon, Zeiss and Tamron. The question is to buy the $100 adapter and stick with Minolta or start buying Nikon and other F mount lenses which could offer greater quality.

My minolta set is this:

Minolta 24mm f2.8 (Rokkor-X)
Minolta 50mm 1.7
Minolta 135mm f2.8
Minolta 50mm Macro f3.5
Minolta 2x teleconvertor

I came across this Nikon 28mm, f2 on ebay. (Auction in 10 hours!):

Very cheap. Could be the screw that's apparently lost inside of it
that's scaring the other bidders off..

Anyway, sorry for the difficult forum post. I'm finding it hard to figure out what to do and would appreciate any advice.

The Rokkor is good glass. I'd get the adapter.
