Lens Identification Help - Leica Users attention

Out of pure curiosity, I wanted to find out what this lens is. The camera appears to be a Leica M2, and since Winogrand is using the viewfinder I assume it is a 35mm (he would switch between a 28-35 sometimes). My guess is based on the very "super-angulon" like design it might be the 35mm summicron pre-asph. There isn't enough resolution to identify any markings. Can anyone confirm my suspicions?

Looking at the size I would guess that it is a 35mm Summicron as you suspected.

Yes, the viewfinder lever is in the "35mm" position.

Thanks, I couldn't tell if it was the IV or the III, I haven't used either.

It could be the 35mm Summilux. The chrome at the rear is hard to make out, but to me it looks like the larger knurled chrome mounting ring of the Summilux rather than the thin chrome lens flange of the Summicron.
