I had been written a disclosure document to uspto on same subject in 1995 at army. It was about computation , photonic crystals and the left handed material.
I found a foundation of 3D photonic crystals constructed at 1987. But computation part remained touchless. I found that people started to talk about.
It is food for mind.
I was thinking to make a self read write 3d lcd , quantum dots , photonic dots andstructures etc. in the lens or lens or patterned mass as computer.
