Im thinking to start scanning my own negatives , but I have two options , I have a rexatar 80-200 mm 3.5 macro with a m42 mount , and a Sony e-mount 28-70 mm 3.5
I don't know if its better to buy extension tubes for the Sony , or buy and adaptor for the m42

Buy an adapter for the zoom with a macro setting. The macro setting will allow you to fill more of the frame. The most important things you can do are find a good, stable light source and a way to hold the negative flat. There is a lot of information on camera scanning and welcome to the adventure!!
