I have way too many 50's so it's time to thin my collection a bit.

Here's a very nice Red Scale Elmar that I've had since early 2017. The glass is clean and clear, the focusing is smooth, the aperture ring is firm and not sticky and the infinity lock works properly. It's from 1954 according to the serial number (1201627) and the images I get are dreamy, as in the photos here. The black and white was from a IIIg and the color one was taken on an M240 with an M adaptor. Comes with case and rear cap.

Asking $495 + shipping from the 34243 zip code.

Hard to beat the quality of any Elmar, especially this one. Sadly, that's a fair price for one.

(not my sale, totally unsolicited endorsement.)

Nice!! This a late example of the 3.5 with the compact body. It's hard to find exact dates, but around 1954 or '55, Leitz remounted the 3.5 glass into a newer mount, one that looked like the f/2.8 Elmar.
