Here's a nice condition, first version 1959 Super Angulon 21mm f/4 lens in screwmount, with the somewhat rare IWKOO hood and the Leica 21mm viewfinder.

These early SA's were made for Leitz by Schneider and are an interesting slight departure from the Leitz lenses of the period. The aperture ring rotates in the opposite direction from the Leitz design and it has a distinctly different feel to it. The mount is of the rotating type, hence the dual appearance of the aperture markings. Minimum setting is F/22. Dual-scale distance markings in feet and meters. The mount is in a much more highly reflective chrome finish, compared to Leitz-designed lenses. Total production of the LTM version was fewer than 1500 units.
The lens takes the same standard E39 filters as the other Leica lenses of the time.

This lens is in excellent working order. The focus action is quite smooth, as is the aperture selection.

The barrel has a few marks here and there, nothing extreme. The coated glass is also very good, although there appears to be some internal paint loss or something going on around the outer edges in the rear elements (see photo). I originally thought about de-cementing but according to Laney's Collector's Guide, these first-version lenses used nine elements but none were cemented. In any case, nothing affecting images in any way.

The original Leica hood is in fine condition. I'm also supplying both metal front and rear caps. The rear cap is a generic, non-Leitz piece.

The viewfinder, likewise, is in excellent condition with only the tiniest bits of finish loss at some edges.

$1100 shipped within the US. Buyers outside the US please contact me to get a shipping quote.

Thanks!

James
