Leica & Stylus Around the World: Round #9

For Fred, nutt'n beats mutton...

He favors ruminants because they are the only class of animal more flatulent than he...

I'm not kidding.

Where are the cameras?

Shawn is probably still wringing water out of his belongings as a result of hurricane Sandy.

Where are the cameras?

I received an email from Shawn a while back checking in before sending the cameras but he did say he was affected quite a bit from Sandy. So I'm sure he's just been delayed again and they'll set off eventually.. or is it just the one coming this way that's causing the delay?

I think it might be best to leave it until January before mailing them at this stage however.. Christmas season mail is notoriously slow in these parts!

I can wait for the camera. In the bigger scheme of things, there are more important issues like did we ever decide on names for the cameras other than numbers (the change in subject from sincere insight to trivial matters is done on purpose)

I vote for Florence and Edwina.

I spent the better part of the last two weeks thinking on my sins, and was dragged by my confessor to the post office this morning to get the cameras out. My apologies are heartfelt.

USPS delivery confirmation #: 03120860000221628195. Raul should have the Leica by Thursday.

No delivery confirmation to Ireland, so we'll have to wait for Sile to respond on the Stylus. Hopefully sometime next week.

These babies now belong to all of us (and the global postal network). Sad to see them go, but I'm just happy they're being used.

Tim was right: the launch is everything.

Regards,

Shawn

Apologies? I'm just glad you're okay. Cameras going out is just icing on the cake. Thanks, Shawn.

Yesterday I received a Leica mini zoom that I have no use for. Anyone have an idea what I could get for it?

Happy holidays, everyone! I hope the cameras travel safely and swiftly among us and that we all have a great 2013 and beyond. The pagan rubber chicken ornament is on our side.

In my house they observe it from a platter, surrounded by roasted potatoes and mushrooms.

Marc, that is a truly bizarre ornament. Are you sure it isn't... uh... that it doesn't...

Oh hell. Does it take batteries?

And I bet it lights up and crows at just the right moment, too.

Hi all.. having just returned from a vacation in NYC I was fascinated to see that the camera and I must have crossed paths somewhere over the Atlantic. However due to the slowness of the Irish Christmas mail it hasn't arrived here at my house just yet... I live in hope that it will arrive sometime this week.

You'll all be the first to know

PS Marc... that is the funniest (and most appropriate) Christmas decoration I have ever seen! I love it!!

I'm beginning to get seriously worried... no sign of the camera on this side of the world...
Was it on a rubber band Shawn???
