Steve has noidea what a rifle is. He lives in a suburb of Great Britain, where they don't allow guns.

I wouldn't have it any other way.

And we refer to the rest of England as The North Island.

I must have slept through that part of health class, which one's the happy VD?

The one that couples hopefully celebrated last friday--V(alentines) D(ay)
BTW- rifle is a verb, (to rifle through a drawer looking for the camera I lost), unless you live in my house where it is a noun, ( WTF did I put the effing bullets for my rifle, as I rifle through the closet in search of them.)

Are you secretly married to the Queen ?

Every man is married to "the queen". When I first started dating my currant GF, I asked what she would like to be called, "the queen" she replied .

That should have been more specific - Queen Victoria (who for anyone unaware was famously 'not amused').

You are absolutely right. However, I think Shawn isn't that old...

Freddie Mercury was a British Monarch?

I always wondered. He had a Royal ermine and a nice crown. Maybe in a parallel universe Britain ?
For National anthem, "We will rock you" or "I want to break free" ???

Well, I decided not to keep the Oly for 6 months. In fact, I have taken my shots and have the little gem all packed up ready to ship to whomever is next on the list. Is it still Jim17x? If so, please PM me with a mailing address so Ican pop it in the post to you.

So you actually found something to shoot, all things considering! Cool!

Got your PM - hold on to the camera until we figure this out. Shouldn't be more than a couple of days - if we don't hear from Jim17x by, say, Friday - we'll move on.

Regards,

Shawn

Rick A Emporium, PA
Jim17x Worth, IL
zsas Crystal Lake, IL
ambaker Poplar Bluff, MO
toro_mike Englewood, CO
cdholden, Nashville, TN
M.A. Longmore Hartsdale, NY

Last list posted.

Fraught with risks, I know, but to keep this an open, democratic group, we take all comers. Don't we?

I just sent Jim17x a PM. Hopefully we'll hear shortly.

The camera survived months in some unknown region in Denmark. What could possibly go wrong in Illinois?

A good word to use, considering that the last one was like pulling teeth...

I yam of the opinion that if you haven't been part of the thread, you probably don't care. Show me three threads that this person has posted in this forum.

Update on counters

As camera is now moving again (since Steve received the Olympus, to be right), here is an update for the "speeds" :

From my notes, the Oly, in 306 days, travelled 14,376 km (8,933 miles) until Rick's home. So, it was moving at a mean of 47 km/day or 29 ml/day, or wathever unit you'd like..

Even if the Leica was now back at home, I should mention here the facts :
According to Shawn, the Leica made is periple in 367 days, at I found it travelled 27,114 km (16848 miles), Brooklyn to Brooklyn  Average speed : 74km/day or 45ml/day...

Dude! Nice work, but should we be slightly worried about you?

Anything would be better than the one we currently have.
