Tom A's comments about the Elmar M (in general): The version II of the 50f2.8 is one of the best medium speed lenses that Leica has made. It is actually a better lens than the Summicron of the same vintage. It is also a parallel mount, which means that the front of it does not rotate and the f-stop indicator stays in the same place. A compact high performance lens, it also has one of the best hoods around - the small ring - which I use on many other 50's with 39 mm thread. Enjoy it and be prepared to be astonished about the image quality.
M3 single stroke, buddha ears -ser.no. 95xxx, good user -user cosmetics with scrape/bright marks, and small dent on right top corner, chrome corrosion on bottom plate -film advance lever does not return by itself (spring) -viewfinder is clear, useable contrast in RF patch, shutter speeds all sound good, shutter curtains are undamaged, recovered in leather -with leather Leica ever ready case, Leica body cap, and padded Leica neck strap. $500 Cdn
