Just wonder what would be the best place to part with as-new R8 and Leica Apo-Macro-Elmarit 2.8/100. On this site i found only low cost stuff can be sold, but i might be wrong. I am in Toronto Canada. Downtown camera pays no more than half of what can be found on ebay. How is with kijiji with Leicas. Any ideas...
Thanks for your time

I've yet to hear of a positive experience with Kijiji -- it seems it attracts weirdos and low-ballers every time.

I've had great luck here selling things -- I'd try eBay as well. Or perhaps try your luck with KEH and their buying crew. They came through our city a few weeks ago on a semi-annual buying trip and I've heard good things about them, too.

Only low cost stuff on this site? What I have observed is fairly priced stuff seems to sell most of the time. Also you should check out rangefinderforum.com, lots of Leica gear gets traded there.

Downtown camera pays no more than half of what can be found on ebay.

-) a camera store selling used cameras wants to make profit on them
And before that has to come up for its handling costs (personnel time involved, having a store open for a client to come in)

-) a camera store here in Germany has to include VAT in its retail price of used stuff, and has to give 12months warranty

-) with Ebay one has the hassle to describe in detail things (heirs ignorant on matters already here get into difficulties), take photographs. And has to wait for a buyer, package all and mail it and then have to wait for the money to come in.
For those few still having a respective dealer downtown such is a valid, hassle-free alternative, even more trustworthy, nonwithstanding the chance of getting less than on Ebay.

The OP is located in Serbia and likely has to wait for infinity for their buying crew to come along.

Still the KEH crew likely will not pass by during his visit...

"... I am in Toronto Canada"

You don't do the onscreen scrolls for Fox TV by any chance, do you?

There's only one place that I'm aware of where I can realize eBay-type prices, and that's eBay itself. I sell to all regions covered by their Global Shipping Program. Of course there are service fees and transaction fees involved, and the last time I checked, I think they amounted to over 15% of the sale price, so not trivial. If a local dealer is willing to pay you 50% of typical eBay selling prices, that's actually not bad.

The OP has stated that he is located in Serbia. The remark "I am in Toronto Canada" thus is to be read as a visit, thus am I right in saying that the KEH crew likely will not come around.
No reason to blame me.

KEH is constantly propagated here as risk-free source, even to members overseas, not just on a visit. Reason is their great "no-risk" return policy.
However, in the past KEH explicetely stated not to refund international return shipping, even if an item does turn out defectice on arrival.
Meanwhile I cannot find such statement any longer, but other statements on return shipping are contradictory and I expect at least hassle in case of returning a defective item from overseas.

Danilo35:
It isn't surprising that AgX thought you were in Serbia - you show Novi Sad Serbia as your location in your Photrio profile - it shows that way on our screens.
AgX is a long time, respected member here who provides excellent context for those who are used to looking at things through a US (or Canadian) perspective.
And discussions about sales or purchases through KEH need to take into account that the reality for people outside the USA - including those in Toronto - is different than for those who are in the USA. KEH purchases need to be imported to our countries, and returns need to be exported, each of which can involve cost. And of course shipping costs can be high. For sales, KEH is known to send representatives to Canadian locations. For example. there was a KEH rep at a table at the Vancouver Camera Show yesterday.
You can decide to sell items through this site. You will need to become a paid subscriber here first, and it is considered to be good form to make a donation of a portion of any sale proceeds that result - 3% is a good guide.
I would observe though that your response to AgX might cause people to be reluctant to deal with you.

Camera shops need to make a profit vs you selling direct. They will usually pay more for part exchange though so if you're looking for something else to buy it may be worth the hit to avoid the ebay hassle. Then again the ebay hassle is relative, if you've done it before you know how to do it. I've bought and sold literally thousands of £ worth of kit, the most expensive being a Rollei 2.8FX.

Otherwise try another forum or two as mentioned but generally it is slow selling here. I think the issue is the search is basically not that good so you have to scroll forever and after a couple of weeks your listing is consigned to nothing. Also you may want to try Facebook forums, there are plenty though they are full of low ballers and timewasters, best to find one that is closed vs open as open groups are really bad. Leica R stuff is slow selling anyway. Good luck.

I've sold expensive cameras on this site - much more expensive than a Leica R8. Fuji Xpan2, Noblex 150 etc etc.
The issue you are facing is not price, but demand.
