I was given a Leica R3 MOT Automatic yesterday. I haven't put any batteries in it yet (will try later this week), but there is a screw missing that holds the bottom plate on. If that's the only thing wrong, then it's a no-brainer, but if there's anything else needed, would it be worth the bother? (Note, the camera did not come with a lens).

Hello,
the R 3 was the first non-Leitz developed camera, in fact it was a modified Minolta XE-1. The camera is used quite cheap as it is not held in high esteem which is unfair.
