Finally.... I got a Leica (i.e. I could afford to buy a Leica & a couple of lenses... :whistling:)

Recently I tested a Leica R5 (with vario-elmar 35-70mm) and fell in love with it. So, as I saw a nice R-E (R5 simplified version) I "had" to buy immediately.... She came with the same lens I tested before (the vario-elmar).
But, to fully dive into the Leica way..... I had to buy a prime! So I got a very nice (almost mint) Summicron R (type II) 50mm f/2.
A couple of days ago I developed the first roll and started to learn about this lens....

More about it in my Film Blog

Btw... I don't add sharpening during or after scanning the film.

Nice shot, I always have a look at the R5 and R-E...what are the advantages of the latter?

Hi!
These are nice Cameras both, but the latter is a bit simpler version without Speed priority and Program exposure. Both seems to be affordable ones.... and quite inexpensives bodies...

Leica-wise, R system seems to be relatively affordable with the exception of all the last generation high end APO's, zooms and superwides. I just picked up a R8 and a 35/2 and its definitely a keeper
