I never found anything online other that instructions on where the adjuster is and tips on removing the plug (which I will copy below). The adjustment looks like a small screw inside of a larger screw/nut, I attached a picture below.

The outer screw/nut (black in the picture) adjusts the distance/horizontal alignment, the small inner screw (red in the picture) adjusts the vertical. Mine was out of adjustment for distance so I needed to turn the outer adjuster. A wide blade jewelers screwdriver works fine as the small center screw is recessed. Just make sure it engages both notches. It only takes a minute "bump" of the adjuster, so don't overdo it. It was pretty snug to move and using a "nudge" motion I could feel it move. I adjusted mine checking accuracy at both 5 feet/1.5M and also at 10ft/3.0M. Before the adjustment, focusing on something 3M away, the distance scale was at 2M, and it focused the same amount past infinity.

In my case, the adjustment of the horizontal didn't affect the vertical alignment. It's possible if the horizontal was off more, it might have. Below are instructions on removing the black plastic plug. Using this technique, mine came out fairly easy, it wasn't damaged and I didn't scratch the top plate.

"The plug on the hole near the hot shoe pops off. Its not a screw in. What has been mentioned about scratching the top cover is correct, so here's a tip to remove it. Place a strip of clear sticky (packing) tape over the plug. Rub the top of the plug with your fingernail which is raised under the tape, making the tape adhere to the plug more than to the top cover. Then with a small jewelers screwdriver you can find the rim of the plug through the tape without scratching the cover. Press the screwdriver down through the tape at the rim of the plug and it will pop up still attached to the tape. Lift the tape off and the plug will be there stuck to the tape and can easy be removed without any damage."

Hope this helps anyone in the future needing to adjust one of these. It took less than 15 minutes and saved my having to send it off somewhere for this simple adjustment.
