Need to raise funds for other stuff so I've decided to part ways with my very nice M3. It's a single stroke model from 1961.

As you can see it's in great cosmetic condition. The bottom plate has a few light, superficial marks. The ends show the faintest traces of strap marks. And there are a couple of small, light marks on top near the Leica name. There is a really tiny bit of black paint loss on the rear door frame. And that's pretty much it, I think. No dents. The strap lugs have minimal wear. Appears to have been recovered at some point, looks great.

Functionally the camera is also in fine shape. I have encountered no issues at all. The RF patch is great. VF very clear, no problems. Totally smooth and quiet operation, perfect curtains, etc. The self-timer works great, too. It really is a joy to use.

The 50mm frame lines are the only area where there is an issue: there are two areas of the 50mm frame line that show a discoloration. This is exactly the condition present when I acquired the camera and I have seen no change of the affected areas. I've included 2 photos that show these areas. Note that when you are using the camera in what I would call "normal", relatively bright-light conditions, these areas are also much lighter in tone. When actually using the camera you really don't pay attention to this phenomenon. My photos were purposely taken in a lighting situation that accentuates a worst-case example. The top-right one is a bit larger and darker than the lower one, which is much less noticeable to begin with. So they don't appear to affect the usage in any way, but they are there… The 90 and 135 lines are fine and are brought into view with no problems at all.

If you have any questions, please ask!

$650 shipped within the USA. For other locations please contact me first to inquire about actual shipping charges.
