Leica IIIc question

I have a Leica IIIc, I currently wind my own film cans and make them all 24 exposures. Will the Barnack Leica spool hold 36 exposures?

Yes, but I would not go much passed there.

Leica cassettes can hold as much as regular commercial cassettes.

In reality the leica brass cassettes are designed to hold up to 40 exposures but since the counter only goes to 36 you're good to go..

Yep, maybe over 40 if you lose track winding.

Depends on thickness of film, PET based film can be very thin, some cine very thick.

But you would be no worse off with commercial cassettes that were not crimped.
