Elmar 50mm f/2.8, M-mount, 1960

A really nice example of this lens, in super clean condition. The focus and aperture controls are completely smooth and precise. Distance marking in Feet. The glass is also excellent, no haze, separation, etc. There are one or two very faint cleaning marks on the front, absolutely nothing to affect performance. A few light dust particles internally and not even much of that. Really nice! Includes both caps.

$425 shipped within the USA. For other locations please contact me first to inquire about actual shipping charges.

I know I know! I have so many 50's now already though. And if you did not notice I snagged the 90/2.8 M-Hexanon that Bob put up for sale yesterday. Wife would kill me.

It's easier to beg for forgiveness, than to ask permission )

Now, clearly, here is a man with the correct attitude!

Surely, you people with spouses/significant others/etc… these people love you and will certainly forgive your transgressions… um, eventually.

Be brave!

Happy Anniversary

Thanks Greg! JM, I'm sorry for taking this thread in this direction. That said, I did check with a few of my wife's friends and they said they did not think she'd want a 50/2.8 Elmar for an anniversary present. Hmmm, I thought it was a great idea....oh well.

Someone should jump on this. Wonderful lens. The quality of the build is amazing as is the performance. A classic.

Richard,
No problem, and congrats on the anniversary.
The trick is to get your wife to buy you the lens as an anniversary present! Maybe that's not how it works...
