Leica CL - Cracked Spool - EXC at KEH, what to do!

Picked up a Leica CL this week on KEH, listed as EXC with only a single minor corner dent(ish - very minor). However, the camera has a cracked take up spool which I understand is a very common flaw with the camera. Would you send it back? Eventually it will crack and become a major issue. At 500 that seems to be on the high end of the market for a body only CL. I just hate the ebay game and have always supported KEH, but I could see how this issue was missed on their floor.

Unless you absolutely have to have a CL RIGHT NOW, send it back or at least send it to them to repair if possible.

Yes, absolutley, call them and then send it back.

Im of the repair or replace opinion. The crack will never heal itself and out of pocket $$$ ain't peanuts.

Only Krauter and DAG fix these so it’s useless to have KEH try and repair it. Back it goes.
