I'm selling my Leica 35mm Summaron f2.8 lens with goggles. S/n 1665555 (!)

The lens is (rated conservatively) in EXC++ condition, clear and clear glass w/no fungus, haze or separation. Some marks on the goggles exterior otherwise pristine condition.

The focusing ring with the tab is butter smooth and most enjoyable to use out of all 35mm lenses I have ever had, very easy to nail focus on the M3.

For the M2 I prefer the brighter view without goggles to this needs to go. I will be listing a M3 and a DR Cron for sale as well. Located in EU but will ship internationally.

Asking $900 plus shipping, paypal fees (PM me for the quote, I think $40 to the US).

Thanks @Kodachromeguy ! Happy to sell them together for $1880 shipped worldwide..

I bought a Summilux and this one has to go, because I found this modern ASPH version to be my ideal 35mm for all purposes digital and film.

The focusing tab and focus ring smoothness here is better than on the modern ASPH versions, though. I am also selling a ZM Biogon 35/2 but i have one interested buyer.

A few recent shots with the Summaron attached.

I have references on DSLR Forum Germany, eBay Germany, RFF (bought from Al, davela, nanthor a while ago).

I have the Summicron version, but the Summaron is no slouch. Much more convenient than mounting finder on shoe. Good price also!

These goggled lenses work quite well with most all M cameras, film and digital. For eyeglass wearers, more so, because the goggles frame 35mm in a smaller window than you would see in an M2,M6 or others.

Someone said that the view through the goggles is a little cloudy, plus there are a few grey spots at the edge of the goggle that do not affect viewing.
I am thinking it the brightness has never been the same even when that lens was in new condition - it is just a tad bit darker than the viewfinder on your M.
I do not see this as an anomaly but I am fully diclosing what i heard - therefore price bump to $780 or best offer + shipping.
