Greetings!

I am trying to put together the ideal (for me) setup to use a 75mm lens on the M because I shoot 90% of the times with this focal length. The combination of the 50mm + 75mm frame lines bothers me, unfortunately, and I cannot get used to it. I talked to the folks in Wetzlar and they told me they cannot (don't want to?) remove the 50mm frame lines.

I have the 1.4x magnifier but no way to try it out on a .85x camera. It would be great if those who have both a .85x M and the 1.4x mag could tell me what happens to the 50mm frame lines using this combination. Are they still visible, albeit at the very edge of the viewfinder? Or they get pushed out of the viewfinder all together, leaving only the 75mm framelines ? That would be FANTASTIC!

Thanks!

Cheers

P.S. I have only film Leicas; sooooooo, no EVF.

In the .85 viewfinder, using the magnifier without eyeglasses, the 75mm frame is easily visible...the 50mm frame is right at the edge of the field of view but easily seen without shifting position. The 35mm frame is way out of sight.
