I just went back to the how to do this post, and when I hold my thumb out and focus on my thumb, I see two background objects, when I focus on the background object I see two thumbs. So I just have to pick one. Maybe I'm still doing it wrong, or maybe neither one is dominant. I don't know.
aha, there in is another survey question. When using a 50mm lense I learned long ago that closing the other eye is not necessary. Now, if I was not shooting with my dominant eye I would probably close the other.Jon said:Since you close one eye when looking through a camera, why should it matter which eye is dominant?
Isn't that a tad unfair on your opponent... surely one racquet is enough?Nicole McGrade said:Left eye, right handed, right footed and play tennis with both hands (just to confuse the opponent).
Now how does it go again: Is it the right eye or the left eye that makes one more creative???
Andy K said:Right eyed/handed/footed... just to confuse matters... how do you people hold the camera (rf or slr) when shooting portrait? I find it more comfortable with the shutter release at the 'bottom-right' as you look at the back of the camera in portrait orientation. Some say that's a bit cack-handed but I find it awkward reaching 'over the top' with my right hand for the shutter release.

Same here on the color balance. I thought maybe I shifted one eye (my left, of course) during thousands of ours spent peeping through the eyepiece of a telescope! Are you an astronomer by chance??Eric Rose said:... I have noticed however that one eye sees colors a bit warmer than the other. A real devil when I'm color printing!
