Downsizing, cleaning, reorganizing sale. I bought this a year or two ago.

Advantages:

1. Even light source, and one that will absolutely not pop your MF negatives.

2. Works well with VC filters, both Ilford and Kodak.

3. Gives 4-6 inches additional enlarger height vs. standard D2 condenser head.

Disadvantage:

Is slightly less bright than the PH-212 bulb that I normally use. This gives me a little less light for composing. And at my age, it makes a difference.

$65 shipped.

Tnx,

-- Mark

I bought mine from a guy here on APUG who designed and built them. I'll look for his name later and get back.

Tnx,

Yep. Very good to deal with too. I got one of the first models and he took it back and modified or with a grounded cord and additional filtering to address done radio hash mine spewed, for free.

I'm interested in his VC head eventually but it will have to wait.

Write him and let him know. IIRC he said in one of the discussions on LFPF that he might make them for Beseler if he got enough requests. If he doesn't know people want them, he won't make them.

Roger - I'm not following what the problem was - can you elaborate?

Not really a problem but the very first ones had two prong ungrounded cords. He later upgraded to three wire grounded for safety especially in wet areas and retrofitted free.

Also, I listen to radio in the darkroom and the power supply generates radio noise when the light is on. He upgraded that too. It didn't completely stop it but did help a lot.

"done" was an autocorrect snafu for "some."
