Leather case and strap repair?

If you are near a major city, perhaps Boston, you may want to call one of the old school shoe repair shops. They will usually repair all types of leather goods. Cheers.

Good idea. There's one by me in NJ that I just bought one of the belts he makes in addition to all his shoe repair work. They have all the heavy-duty sewing and other machines used to work with heavy leather.

I notice as I get older, that's happening to my skin.

Just replace old worn or cracked leather straps.

What with older cameras without strap lugs?

I am actually using fanny packs (or "belt bags" for the non-Americans in the audience!) at the moment to deal with that.

Thanks Ian, looks like it would make an excellent 5x7 wet plate camera. Someone is selling one locally, but wants more than Im willing to pay, Ill try haggling.
