Least grain film at 1600?

For developers i would recommend Microphen but HC110 was intended for pushing as well (a favorite of press photographers). But i think Microphen would give smaller grain.

Considering its ISO 1250 and my usual preference for 2/3 stop additional exposure... I might be interested in a comparison of Delta 3200 shot at 800... with something like TMAX-400 pushed to 800

Don't forget Ilford Pan 400, Agfaphoto 400 New, Rollei RPX 400, Fotoimpex 400!..
